Snow Play

Locals know the secret - when it snows to lower altitudes Mt Stirling is a great place for uncrowded snowplay fun

For many years young families have appreciated the lack of crowds, friendly atmosphere and tranquil beauty of our natural winter wonderland. If your aim is to avoid the crowds and hectic pace of crowded toboggan slopes in the larger resorts then we have the winter playground to suit you. There's plenty of safe space for snow balls to be thrown and snowmen to be built, so come up and join in the family fun.

The toboggan slope at Telephone Box Junction (TBJ) is the place for simple snowy fun with little ones when the big winter storms arrive!  Easily accessible to the warm and friendly Mt. Stirling Bistro, where parents can sit with a hot chocolate or cappuccino overlooking the toboggan slope. Toboggans are available for hire on site from TBJ.

Check the conditions on the live cam and if you can see good snow cover at TBJ it's your sign to bundle the kids in their winter gear and come on up for some snowball throwing, snow-person making and even some toboggan sliding!

The Resort team has been busy during the summer creating a new snow play and toboggan area at King Saddle for this season. Snow reliability is a little better here and it provides visitors with the ability to see a little more of the beautiful Alpine Ash forest within which the Mt. Stirling Alpine Resort is set. Visitors will be able to catch an exciting ride through the resort on the new snow-rider shuttle transport to access King Saddle, located 2 kilometres up the Circuit Road trail from Telephone Box Junction.
