Drone Policy

In order to maintain a peaceful environment and ensure the safety of all guests drone usage, for both commercial and non-commercial purposes at Mt Buller and Mt Stirling is tightly limited and must be pre-approved and meet with strict Resort and CASA regulations.  Horse riding is a popular activity at Mt Stirling and as horses and drones are a bad mix carefully pre-arranged and cleared flights are the only times drones are used in this beautiful wild area.

The application form and policy is available on the links below. We suggest you contact [email protected] to discuss an application prior to submission and allow sufficient time for review and processing.  Applications are rarely approved and may require a staff member to supervise and support your shoot.

Hobbyists are not permitted to fly in the resort. No request or application will be considered.

Any person found flying a drone in the Resort without authorisation will be asked to cease operation immediately and leave the area with their drone.
