Our Instructors
Meet our team of professionally qualified instructors.

Greete Steinberg, 34
My name is Greete, I‘m 34 years old. I am passionate about the outdoors, movement and a healthy lifestyle. My background in endurance sports (I am a former professional mountain biker) has given me a strong foundation in physical fitness, focus and working with people of different levels and goals. I truly enjoy helping others discover the joy of skiing and spending time in nature.

Kaarel Kasper Kõrge, 28
This is Kaarel Kasper, the guy who has been sliding on skis for 21 winters and counting.
I’ve spent over two decades on skis, with the last 10 racing professionally. Along the way, I’ve rocked four World Championships representing Estonia and collected a handful of national titles (and a few bruises to go with them).
What I’ve learned? Skiing isn’t just about speed-it’s about mastering technique and balance to make every run smoother and way more fun. My little mission in our sessions? To help you ski confidently, enjoy every turn, and maybe laugh a little when things don’t go exactly as planned. Looking forward to hitting tracks together!

Klaus Mark Kolpakov, 26
I started skiing at a very young age-not because my parents were skiers, but because I saw it on TV. I was glued to sports broadcasts and asked for skis for Christmas. Feels like I was born to ski.
By high school, I had read most of the national coaching literature, earned my first coaching license, and later went on to study sport sciences. I’m a big science enthusiast, but I believe in a holistic approach - especially the joy of movement.
My background includes biathlon, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and Nordic combined. These sports have deepened my love for the outdoors, which I see as a powerful source of mental clarity and strength.

Haz
Haz grew up in Tasmania, where their first cross country skiing experience was skiing across the plateau at Cradle Mountain. They have previously worked and volunteered at Mt Stirling as a ski patroller and worked as a ski lift operator at Mt Buller and in the Austrian Alps. They love skiing through the forest listening to lyrebird calls and having a warm cuppa by the fire in one of the huts.

Sander Eilo, 33
I'm an enthusiastic cross-country ski instructor with over 23 years of skiing experience, dedicated to sharing my passion for the sport. Having worked as a ski instructor at Mount Stirling for two seasons, I specialize in delivering personalized, engaging lessons that enhance skills and foster a love for cross-country skiing.

Mari Linnus, 24
I grew up skiing in my backyard in Setomaa, inspired by my three older brothers. I followed their lead in everything, which sparked my love for sports and the outdoors from a young age.
I've done orienteering and ski orienteering for most of my life, competing at a professional level until I was 21. So don’t worry-you won’t be getting lost on the tracks with me!
The outdoors has always felt like home to me, and I love sharing that passion through teaching. Back in Estonia, I worked as a ski instructor with students of all ages, and I’ve also helped organize orienteering and obstacle course competitions. As an assistant coach at training camps, I gained experience supporting athletes of all levels.
Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your technique, I’m here to make your skiing experience fun, safe, and rewarding.

Marie Cathleen Kilp, 25
Returning to Mount Stirling for my third season feels like coming home. I’ve been passionate about cross-country skiing since I was 10, competing through my teens and now sharing that love as an instructor.
Over the past four years, I’ve taught everyone from first timers to more experienced enthusiasts, with a focus on kids-but I also enjoy working with adults of all skill levels. Every lesson is a new adventure and seeing the joy on people’s faces makes it all worthwhile.
I’m excited to be back and can’t wait to hit the trails with you this season!
